Safe working with a fall arrest system – explained in technical terms

First, you determine a suitable, standard-compliant anchor point (e.g., a beam, a certified anchor device, or a suitable structure). Using the ABS anchor loops (webbing slings), you initially have a robust anchor point. Then, you equip yourself with the ABS Comfort harness and adjust all straps close to your body(seat, shoulder, leg).

Depending on the work area, you use the lanyard (2 m) or the self-retracting lifeline (5 m) to maintain mobility while reducing the impact force. The temporary safety rope (23 m) allows for secure, temporary rope belaying – ideal for changing work locations.The trauma straps should be kept ready on your harness to minimize the risk of suspension trauma after a fall.
