Flexible use on flat roofs
With the ABS escape and rescue route system, you can quickly and systematically create a defined escape route on flat roofs – perfect for construction site logistics, maintenance areas, and permanently planned escape routes. The system is 1 m wide and features railings on both sides, creating safe walking zones that provide orientation and significantly reduce the risk of falls. The ballast weight ensures that the roof waterproofing remains intact, which is particularly important for sensitive structures and renovation projects.
Thanks to its modular design , you can combine straight sections, transitions, and 90° corners to perfectly match your roof layout. In practice, this means you can plan your escape route modularly, adapt it to roof structures, and extend it at any time. This makes the escape route the ideal complement to personal protective equipment in team-based safety concepts and a real advantage in terms of workplace safety – whether in commercial construction, PV installations, or traditional roofing and sheet metal work .
Who is this system designed for?
Do you work in the trades and need clear, safe routes on the roof? Then this system is just right – also as a complement to lightweight side protection solutions like ABS Guard OnTop Sandwich side protection railings for riveting onto sandwich roofs: There, side protection with little weight; here , defined escape routes with ballast for flat roofs.
